Tami Thiede

PTCOMT

Tami is a graduate of State University of NY at Buffalo for physical therapy with 38 years of experience. She has worked over these years in a variety of settings from home health, acute care, skilled nursing EC facilities and outpatient care. Over the last 25 years, Tami has worked primarily in outpatient and home health care.

Tami has worked as the Director of PT at the Arthritis Care Center in Ft. Worth Texas, as well as at the TMJ Clinic in Dyer, Indiana with a focus on head, neck, and facial pain. She is Sahrman trained in Movement Dysfunction, and is SFMA/FMS certified. Tami is also a specialist in Pelvic/SI Dysfunction, Women’s Health and Pelvic Health therapy. Tami is APTA clinical education certified and Maitland Manual Therapy certified.

Tami incorporates manual techniques and activation of neuromuscular control in her patient’s treatments. This enables the patient to regain proper mechanics of functional movement and leads to improved daily functional movement. Daily activities and ergonomics need to be assessed. Controlling proper movement affects proper body mechanics, in an effort to avoid continued stress to the musculoskeletal system, resulting in altered patterns of movement to control and dissipate pain.
