Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science and Dance from Hope College in 2011. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercer University in 2015.
Before going to physical therapy school Stephanie was active in Chicago’s dance community. She performed tap and contemporary styles with various companies in the city. While performing, Stephanie experienced several injuries which exposed her to physical therapy, and she fell in love with this profession as it kept her happy, healthy and doing what she enjoyed.
Working as a physical therapist has provided Stephanie opportunities to continue her love of dance by working with performers of all ages and levels. She has toured with Broadway shows and professional dance companies, and worked with local studios to create injury prevention programs for young dancers.
While Stephanie enjoys working with performing artists, she also believes that her understanding of movement and assessment translates to all athletes and individuals wanting to return to high level activity and sport. She enables CrossFit, fitness athletes and marathon runners to keep their bodies healthy and ready to compete. Her other interests include orthopedics, dry needling, injury prevention, health and wellness.
