Sarah graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2018. Prior to that, she received a bachelors in Dance Performance/Choreography from Hope College in 2014. Sarah also spent a year dancing professionally with Jon Lehrer Dance Company, formerly LehrerDance, in Buffalo, NY before starting physical therapy school.
Sarah became interested in physical therapy while dancing at Hope as she was treated by the physical therapist within the dance department who also had a background in dance. Sarah ultimately wanted to be part of a profession where she could help people. She loves incorporating what she knows about the human body from dance into her everyday PT practice.
Sarah is passionate about working with other dancers to help them return to dance and prevent injuries during training. She also loves treating pediatrics, vestibular dysfunction, and pelvic health.
In her spare time, Sarah likes to teach dance to young kids, cook and bake new recipes, travel with family, and cuddle with her dog.
