Ryan Miyashiro

Ryan received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he then went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Governors State University. He has been practicing in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy since completing his DPT degree.

Ryan has experience working with a wide range of conditions including sports injuries, dizziness/balance disorders, work-related injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. He is a firm supporter of a functional approach to exercise and empowering the patient. Ryan’s goal is for patients to learn the skills and knowledge they need to help treat their problem and return to living a healthy, functional, and pain-free lifestyle. He is trained in mechanical diagnosis & treatment (McKenzie Method) of neck/back/upper limb/lower limb pathologies, trigger point dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and personalized blood flow restriction therapy.

Ryan currently lives in the southwest suburbs with his wife and son and enjoys playing hockey, cheering on Chicago sports teams, and exercising in his free time.
