Russell Jones

Russell grew up in Lilburn, Georgia where he played soccer at Parkview High School where he sustained his first knee injury that sparked his interest in anatomy and physiology. He continued his one-sided love story with soccer that landed him on the Georgia State University Men’s Soccer Team. He was no stranger to the training room where he spent most of his time recovering from two more ACL injuries. Nevertheless, he received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.

After his physical and emotional soccer wounds healed, he attended Brenau University where he received his doctorate in physical therapy. He started a new love story with orthopedic outpatient therapy. His therapeutic love blossomed when he saw how underserved patients who sustained concussion and vestibular dysfunction. He had only one choice to make and became certified in vestibular rehab and trained with ImPACT concussion therapy. He received training in running gait analysis to get patients back to running.

Like most love, Russell’s shape is a triangle. He met his wife in between soccer and physical therapy where they got married in South Africa. They have two  beautiful boys that make them so proud. He is very happy with physical therapy and his family but keeps in contact with soccer from time to time.
