Mike Lurvey

Mike has an extensive background in Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine.  He has worked in Livingston County for the last 30 years helping many athletes and patients return to an active lifestyle.  He graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine from Central Michigan University, becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer, and then obtained a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. 

 

He has worked in the collegiate and high school settings for many years as a Certified Athletic Trainer. He has a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan. He was the Head Athletic Trainer at Brighton High School for 12 years. He specializes in Complex orthopedic issues, and is McKenzie trained for lumbar and cervical issues.  He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as well as being a Certified Applied Functional Specialist.

 

He has substantial training in Sports Injury management for all sports including two certifications in Golf Training, (TPI) and (FGS). He currently teaches a class in Sports Medicine techniques across the country for Summit Professional Educators.  Mike enjoys hiking, golf, paddle boarding, music, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. His mission is to encourage people to obtain their life’s potential.
