Mike Harris

Mike Harris is a Doctoral level Physical Therapist. He graduated from Georgia State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2008.  Since graduating, Dr. Harris completed a nationally recognized Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program and in 2011, he sat for and passed the Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) examination.  He then went on to hold a faculty position for another residency program in Georgia.

Mike is Dry Needling certified along with having a specialty in craniofacial dry needling. He served as an instructor for such courses which he taught in various states.   Dr. Harris has also held the position of Senior Therapist along with serving as a mentor for new graduates and post-grad residency students. In 2016-2018, he helped create a mentoring program to assist in developing the clinical competence and performance of staff therapists. In 2021, Dr. Harris renewed his OCS certification while serving as clinic director. He continues to practice in an Outpatient Orthopedic PT setting with a focus on research supported interventions and quality patient care.

In his personal time, Mike participates in training various styles of martial arts which he has pursued for more than 20 years. He has given lectures to different yoga and martial art schools in the metro Atlanta area focusing on health aspects of training and an organized approach to different training methods. When not training, Mike enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son along with catching up with an extended network of family and friends, hiking in the mountains/white water rafting, listening to music, cooking, and reading.
