Michael Brown

PTDPT

Mike hails from Champaign, IL and while in high school sustained an ankle injury which piqued his interest in physical therapy.  Mike received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2010 and continued his education at Northwestern University where he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014.

Mike continues to expand his education to better help his patients reach their personal goals as he is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and dry needling which are very useful in reducing tension in muscle tissue and helping to release muscle trigger points.  Mike also uses dermal-fascial release in treatments in order to loosen tension in superficial tissues and scar tissue and has completed classes through the Institute of Physical Art which specializes in Functional Manual Therapy.  Mike also enjoys working with patients suffering with dizziness, vertigo and headaches as he has continued his education to work with this specific patient population.

Mike is a die-hard fan of the Illini and Cubs and enjoys living in Chicago with his wife, Jessica, and their dog Willow.
