Megan Mayer

OT

Megan is very excited to be joining the Team Rehab Beverly Clinic. She was born and raised in Beverly and currently resides there with her family. She attended Mother McAuley High School and then the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. While at St. Thomas, Meg played for the softball team and worked for several teams on campus as a student trainer. After graduating from UST, Meg attended Carroll University, earning her Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2019.

Since graduating from OT school, Meg has worked in a variety of settings, including pediatric outpatient, early intervention, and hand therapy clinics. She loves working in hand therapy with patients of all ages who are dealing with a variety of both traumatic and chronic conditions. Meg has received training in use of physical agent modalities and Kinesio Tape and continues to further her professional education to provide the best care possible for her patients. Her favorite part of being an occupational therapist is getting to know her patients and helping them get back to their daily meaningful activities. She has seen the impact that hand injuries and dysfunction can cause in people’s day to day lives and is committed to helping her patients return to the activities that mean the most to them. Meg wholeheartedly believes the famous Aristotle quote, “The hand is the tool of tools” and models her therapy around the idea that our hands are part of what make each of us unique.

Outside of work, Meg enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, doing puzzles, and watching sports.
