Matt Sanborn

PTA

Matt Graduated from Macomb Community College in 2016 with his Associates in Applied Sciences and a concentration in Physical Therapist Assistant. His passion for therapy started early after multiple injuries and a knee surgery from playing hockey. That passion was reinvigorated after an injury during boot camp to become a United States Marine. After receiving good therapy as a teen and poor therapy in the military he wanted to provide superior care to his patients to get the best outcomes for all of his patients.

Matt has continued to strive to be the best therapist through teaching others. Not only has he been a hockey coach for greater than 10 years, teaching players proper movement patterns to reduce risk of injury, he has taken continuing education to become a Credentialed Clinical Instructor. This has led to teaching multiple PTA students, challenging his knowledge and pushing him to be a better clinician.

Outside of work Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 young kids, and 3 dogs. Usually out in the yard playing different sports with the kids or doing yard work. He also enjoys learning different aspects of business as he earned his Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He hopes to use both degrees one day running his own Team Rehabilitation clinic.
