In 2013, Lori achieved her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University. Before pursuing this degree, she spent over two decades as a certified medical transcriptionist and successfully managed her own business. During this period, she offered services to various medical professionals, including physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, orthopedic physicians, and therapy clinics. It was this experience that sparked her interest in becoming an occupational therapist. Lori embarked on her career as an Occupational Therapist by working in a stroke rehabilitation unit within a hospital. She later extended her expertise to an outpatient clinic, specializing in neurological rehabilitation and upper extremity injuries.
Since June 2020, Lori has held the title of Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist and is a proud member of the Certified NBCOT community. Lori’s commitment to professional development is evident through her pursuit of various training programs, which includes Kinesio Tape Training, Vestibular Training, Physical Agent Modality Training, Visual Perceptual Rehabilitation Training, Neuroplasticity Training, and, most recently, training in Functional Capacity Evaluations/Return to Work/Work Hardening/Work Conditioning. Lori and her husband recently made the decision to relocate from Michigan to Indiana to be closer to their two children and their families, whom they enjoy spending time with.
