Jacob Herberger

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Jake spent time working as part of the Athletic Training team for the Chicago Bears & the Windy City Bulls. He then went on to earn his doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to being a DPT, he is also a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Associated, and certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) practitioner. Jake is currently using his TPI certifications to treat amateur & professional golfers from around the Midwest at competitive levels including the Korn Ferry and Champion’s Tours.

Jake has multiple certifications including dry needling, cupping, HawkGrips instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, FMT taping procedures, and blood flow restriction therapy. He has also been trained in the Mckenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy, Mulligan’s Concept, Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy, and Chiropractic BioPhysics. Jake enjoys using his specialty areas to assist patients in returning to their daily life activities, occupational requirements, and athletic aspirations. From the injured worker to the professional athlete, his enjoyment in being a physical therapist is finding the missing element that allows patients to reach their short and long term goals.

When Jake is not in the clinic, you will most likely find him in the gym, on the golf course, or enjoying local cuisine and rare whiskeys with his family! Jake and his wife have two daughters, Ava & Nora, and is loving the girl dad life in the suburbs with their two dogs!
