Dan McCoy

Dan has been treating outpatient orthopedic injuries since graduating from Bellarmine University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. 

Dan has treated a wide variety of orthopedic and neuromuscular dysfunctions. His participation in sports and subsequently having sustained many ankle, back, knee, and shoulder injuries himself, is what attracted him to the physical therapy profession. Dan has a particular interest in treating sports related injuries due to his personal experience and understanding how the injury is viewed by both the patient and the physical therapist’s perspectives.

Through his career, Dan has received extensive training in manual therapy, functional dry needling, corrective exercise and postural training. He is currently pursuing a manual therapy certification from the University of St. Augustine to increase his precision in both evaluation and treatment of patients. This is providing him many tools to assist patients reach their personal goals. Dan believes that a patient needs to understand their condition in order to properly address the underlying issue. He uses the “art and science” aspects of physical therapy to tailor interventions for each individual patient. 

In his free time, Dan enjoys living an active lifestyle of sports and exercise. He speaks Spanish and enjoys cooking and traveling with his wife.
