Carlie graduated from Bradley University in 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Health Science. In 2008, she received her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from Governors State University.
Carlie has certifications in both myofascial release as well as in IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization). These specialty certifications incorporate various types of manual techniques and tools to reduce soft tissue tension in muscles and scar tissue, reduce pain and restore range of motion and function. She is also trained in providing FCE’s (Functional Capacity Evaluations) and creating work conditioning programs for the Workers Compensation patient population.
She is well-rounded in treating patients after shoulder surgeries, having recovered from four shoulder operations herself. Carlie also enjoys working with athletes and sport-specific rehabilitation programs as she previously played volleyball, basketball and soccer. She is passionate about actively listening to the patient to incorporate their goals into the treatment plan. In her time outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, kayaking and golfing, cooking, and cheering on our Chicago sports teams.
