After earning a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Northern Illinois University, Ben moved to Wisconsin to begin a career as a personal trainer/fitness consultant and strength & conditioning coach. He became certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, extensively studied functional strength training, nutritional science and spent 15 years working with individuals to improve their health, functional mobility and athletic performance.
As Ben progressed through his career as a fitness professional, he developed a deeper interest in working with individuals that had recently recovered from injury and a desire to learn more about the process and application of physical rehabilitation. This desire led to him earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ben’s experiences provide him with a unique perspective for treating a wide variety of patients and conditions through a holistic approach that utilizes functional movement, manual therapy and education.
Ben enjoys being outdoors, traveling, pursuing continuing education and spending time with his wife, daughter and son. He has a passion for fitness and sports, having completed 2 marathons and multiple powerlifting programs, as well as participating in softball leagues, playing golf and hiking.
