Barbara Wilson

Barbara Wilson, LPTA received her Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Jackson State University in 2017. She went on to earn her Associates of Science in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) from South University in Montgomery in 2021.

Prior to college, Barbara played golf in high school and in different tournaments throughout Connecticut. She received multiple awards and won a few tournaments throughout her career where she went on to receive a golf scholarship to Jackson State University. While playing golf Barbara experienced an injury which opened her eyes to physical therapy and her passion began.

Before Covid, Barbara worked as a front desk coordinator for 2 years, and in February of 2022 she took on a position with Team Rehabilitation in Roswell as a technician. Before becoming full time Physical Therapy Assistant at Decatur clinic she was a floater within Team Rehab. Since becoming a PTA she has received her Corrective Exercise Specialty from National Academy of Sports Medicine, and Emergency Medical Response for Acute Athletic Injury and Illness. Since being a Physical Therapy Assistant she has worked in Outpatient realm with acute and chronic Musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, and thrives the most in athletic populations. 

When Barbara, is not treating patients she enjoys traveling, watching sports, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family.
