Aubrie Purtell

DPT

Aubrie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Disability and Rehabilitation Services from Northern Illinois University in 2018 while competing for the university’s gymnastics team. She then continued at NIU to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021.

Aubrie understands the importance of functional movement and the role movement plays in overall health and wellness, having a history of being a competitive gymnast since the age of five. Aubrie was drawn to physical therapy as it focuses on helping people return back to their “normal” through proper movement and exercise. She believes health literacy and patient advocacy are key factors to a successful recovery. While in PT school, Aubrie gained valuable clinical experience in the outpatient setting while working with athletes, older adults, and job-related injuries.

Aubrie is excited to be in the Chicago area to help treat patients with various diagnoses, including orthopedic injuries and women’s pelvic floor dysfunction. In her spare time she enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
