Alyssa Miklosy
My name is Alyssa Miklosy and I am currently in my gap year while I prepare to apply to Physical Therapy. I graduated from University of Wisconsin with majors in both genetics and philosophy. I had originally planned on going on to medical school but after working in the hospital I grew a passion for and saw the importance of rehabilitation and preventive care. This passion inspired me to pursue a career in physical therapy and I am excited to start applying to physical therapy school.
Working at Team Rehab has only grown my passion for preventive care and rehabilitation. I am able to see in depth the importance of physical therapy for all ages, genders, and lifestyles. I have grown to appreciate the broad scope of physical therapy’s ability to greatly improve a patient’s quality of life.
Outside of Team Rehab, I coach both high school and club girl’s volleyball where I strive to create a safe and competitive environment where athletes cannot only grow in their volleyball skills but life skills as well. I also enjoy personal training where I can creatively program to help individuals reach their specific goals and improve their quality of life. I love learning more about different ways to condition the body and I am certified in USAW weightlifting and Crossfit. When I do have a little free time, I enjoy watching college football, pilates, painting and spending time with all my loved ones including my too cute for this world dog and cat.
