Sydney is a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant joining Team Rehab and serving in the Midway location.  Sydney’s passion for physical therapy is deeply rooted in her personal experiences as a patient herself, beginning in her early adolescence.  Sydney found her passion for physical therapy early in life, discovering the profound impact therapy can have on recovery as a patient herself in her teenage years.

Sydney’s passion for physical therapy began early in life, with a dedication for movement and physical activity as an avid dancer, soccer player, and eventually, as a patient herself.  As is common with teenagers in sports, Sydney had endured a knee injury, resulting in numerous surgeries, and several bouts of therapy.  Over the course of several years of recovery, Sydney experienced first hand, the physical and emotional tolls of recovery.

Since then, Sydney has gone on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, majoring in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a minor in Holistic Health and Wellness, going on to earn her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from Fox College.  During her schooling, Sydney’s motivation only grew, leading her to become an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), through her participation in the Illinois state chapter, where she assisted in coordinating organization and collection of assistive devices from her school’s students as well as their family and friends for donation as part of the IPTA’s Student Special Interest group’s “PT Day of Service.”

Through her career, Sydney has gained experience working with diverse patient populations, pediatrics, athletes, post-operative patients, as well as patients with neurological diagnoses.  She makes it her goal to provide the same excellence of care that she received all those years ago, assisting with not only their physical recovery, but emotional outlook on recovery as well.
