Merin Mathew

PTDPT

Merin is a physical therapist who strives to provide patient-centered care with compassion, positivity and integrity. Merin graduated from the University of Georgia in 2019 with her B.S.F.C.S. in Nutritional Science with a minor in Exercise and Sports Science. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Georgia State University in 2022. During her doctoral studies, Merin has gained experience in outpatient orthopedic, pediatric and inpatient rehabilitation.

Merin had an early interest in the healthcare field because she witnessed the impact her mother had as a nurse on patient’s lives. Upon discovering the field of physical therapy, she realized that it gave her a unique opportunity to help patients reach their personal goals and achieve independence while being a part of their journey. Through her career, Merin hopes to empower members of the community to become stronger, better versions of themselves- a goal she is also actively working towards.

In her free time, Merin enjoys socializing with her friends, spending time with family, eating great food, and tapping into her artistic side- which includes Bharatanatyam (a form of Indian classical dance), drawing and painting.
