Hailing from a small farm town in central Illinois, I did not have much exposure to physical therapy until I arrived at Augustana College in the quad cities. It was there I witnessed the power and potential of physical therapy during my observation and volunteering hours. After completing an undergraduate program at Augustana in 2008, I attended the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Washington University in Saint Louis.
While earning my doctoral degree, I discovered that my level of interest in the study of body movement matched my passion for golf. I graduated from Washington University in 2011 and began my career as a physical therapist, working with all types of orthopedic injuries. In 2012, I received my TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certification and started treating many amateur and some professional golfers. During that same time, I also completed an intense 2-year orthopedic residency program with Evidence in Motion to become a Board-Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. While my passion lies with golf and how the swing interacts with the spine, I love treating patients of all ages and injuries.
When not working and treating clients, I enjoy family time with my wife and twins, running, golfing and working with junior golfers on their fitness and performance.
