Michelle Kanitz – Livonia 2 Clinic Director

I became a director so I can lead and mentor other staff members toward the goal of providing patient centered care while maintaining full clinical autonomy for each physical therapist to choose what works well to achieve that goal. It is through continued education and clinical expertise with the right therapists and collaborative relationships that we are able to build a successful business. It is also through therapist ownership and autonomy that encourages staff members to have a stake in growing the business by keeping things simple: happy patients, happy doctors. Once I realized that, directorship made sense. My team operates well together to accomplish these goals to the best of our ability. Keeping each other focused on what matters enables us to do what we enjoy doing every day, TREATING THE PATIENT.
