Alice Hoegel

PTDPT

Ali graduated from James Madison University in 2010 with a BS in Kinesiology – Exercise Science. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2014 with honors.

Sports have played a heavy role in her life, having played on a medal winning field hockey team in high school on a national level. This developed her passion to work with athletes of all ages.

Ali has focused her continuing education efforts on becoming certified in Rock Tape, overhead athletes, specifically baseball players, dry needling, Blood Flow Restriction Therapy, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and other sports specific courses to assist with athletes of all ages. She volunteered in the Westminster Training room in 2019 learning more sport specific treatment techniques from the athletic trainers. She currently is working at our satellite clinic at The Westminster Schools since 2021.

Ali has completed the NeuroTour Performing Arts Fellowship and served as a physical therapist for Beauty and the Beast, Flashdance, Phantom of the Opera, and RENT 20th Anniversary. She has completed her dance rehabilitation certification in New York City. She has experience working with professional companies, college dancers, and dance schools in the Atlanta area. Being a dancer herself for 18 years, even requiring surgery on an injury occurred while dancing, Ali understands dance-related injuries, dance technique, and special rehabilitation concerns specific to this certain population.
