Shar received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Oakland University in 1999. She has treated Pelvic Health conditions, which includes Men’s and Women’s Health, for over 20 years and is the current Mentor for this specialty group at Team Rehab. She is an ACE certified Personal Trainer and Lifestyle Fitness Coach and was a previous Director of Fitness Testing & Training for the Sterling Heights Fire Department. Shar has provided many webinars and educational presentations for both medical professionals and the community.
Shar has attended over 100 continuing education courses, some of which include: Women’s and Men’s Pelvic and Abdominal Health including Pelvic Pain Syndromes, Prolapse and Incontinence, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Visceral Mobilization, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Frequency Specific Microcurrent, PT during Pregnancy and Postpartum, and Spinal Instability and Stabilization.
She is currently directing research on use of the Pelvic Wave Therapy system for pelvic floor strengthening and re-education. She also created the program, “Move to Improve,” which provides effective treatment techniques and exercise to help the growing number of patients with Lyme Disease and chronic inflammatory illnesses.
