Mike was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He moved to the Midwest in 2019 to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at UIC and fell in love with the region. From the culture to the people, he felt at home here.

Prior to physical therapy, Mike attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelors in Athletic Training in 2018. While at UNC, Mike had the opportunity to work with a variety of elite athletes as a member of the sports medicine team over his 4 years.

In addition to being a doctor of physical therapy, Mike is a certified athletic trainer. He also possesses certifications in integrated dry needling (IDN), applied functional sciences (CAFS), and functional manual reaction techniques (FMR). In addition to his schooling, Mike has completed an advanced 40 week fellowship program in Applied Functional Sciences (FAFS) that has assisted in elevating the care he provides. He takes a functional, whole body approach that is centered on returning his patients to the things they love. He is passionate about the connections he makes through his work and being present for his patients throughout their healing journey.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys staying active, working out, and a passion for live music. Catch him at his next concert exploring some of the great live music venues that the area has to offer.
