PTDPT

Mason received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, FL in December of 2017. Previously, he received his Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience from Trinity College and Masters in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He plans to continue his education and earn his Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) and Sports Certified Specialization (SCS) in the near future.

Originally, Mason grew up in a northern suburb of Chicago (Northbrook, IL) where his passion for athletics began at an early age. Mason was a 12-season athlete during high school, participating in football, wrestling, and lacrosse. His senior year, he was named captain for all three sports and was honored with being named Male Athlete of the Year. He continued his athletic path in college, participating in wrestling and lacrosse. During his Junior year, he suffered an ACL tear which changed his career trajectory. He found a perfect marriage between science and sport when he underwent physical therapy and committed his life to healing the human body. Mason’s passion is returning people to the activities that they love. He believes that success in physical therapy is measured by the ability of the patient to be functional in all aspects of their life.

Mason is a huge Bulls, Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawks fan. When he is not watching one of these teams he can be found participating in a variety of sports, hiking, CrossFit, and coaching. Mason enjoys spending time with his family and his two dogs, especially if a board game is involved.
