Mark has over 30 years of clinical experience and is recognized as a leading expert in the management of complex knee pathology. His clinical specialization is supported by over 250 national and international lectures and workshops. Mark has over 40 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the area of orthopaedic and sports physical therapy with a special emphasis on knee pathology. His clinical practice is centered on treating various and challenging knee conditions in patients across the life span including acute ligamentous injuries, chronic and degenerative conditions as well as operative and non-operative pathology.
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education/Athletic Training from West Virginia University. He then earned a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis and a Master of Science degree in Health Administration from Indiana University. He is board certified as a Sports Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and has completed a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Kentucky. Mark served as president of the Sports Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association, treasurer for the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy and is an editorial board member for the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy. He was received multiple awards including the Sports Physical Therapy Section Lifetime Achievement Award and the American Physical Therapy Association Marilyn Moffat Leadership Award.
