Maggie Hammerschmidt
Maggie graduated from Saint Louis University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. She has extensive experience working in the outpatient orthopedic setting focused on sports medicine, orthopedic injuries and occupational medicine. She enjoys treating patients of all ages no matter the injury. Maggie grew up playing sports with a passion for basketball, soccer and running and developed a particular interest in treating sport related injuries due to her personal experience and ability to relate to these patients.
Maggie is devoted to learning and providing individualized patient care to help her patients achieve their goals. In order to offer the best care, she went on to pursue certifications in manual therapy, functional dry needling, ASTYM, running/gait analysis, and blood flow restriction therapy. Maggie makes sure to take a personalized approach to therapy to help patients understand their condition as well as provide the proper tools to restore function so they may return to their daily living activities.
In her free time, Maggie enjoys living an active lifestyle. She has a passion for running and most weekends you can find her running on the lakefront path. She set herself a personal goal, to run a marathon in all 50 states and to date she has completed 16 state marathons! She also enjoys spending time with friends and family and trying out new restaurants in the Lincoln Park and Old Town neighborhoods.
