Jessica Wells
Jessica graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University (NIU) in 2023 after obtaining a Bachelors from NIU in Health Sciences in 2020. Prior to attending NIU she served in the United States Army for 6 years as a Medical Laboratory Technician working as a laboratory supervisor and Sergeant in Texas, Hawaii, and Arizona. While in the Army, Jessica trained soldiers in proper laboratory procedures, military customs, and was a certified American Heart Association CPR instructor.
In the clinic, Jessica believes giving patients an understanding of what causes conditions in the body and how certain exercises are developed to mitigate the negative effects of those conditions is integral in the healing process. She enjoys working with all types of patients throughout the lifespan and with various conditions ranging from post-operative procedures, chronic pain, trauma, and sports related injuries. She plans to become certified in dry needling in the future and receive training as a hippotherapist to help treat children with neurological and developmental conditions that impact their daily lives.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities, completing fun runs, going to hockey games (Go Blackhawks!), and spending time with her family and Miniature Pinscher, Thorbert and cat, Artemis.
