Esraa Elkossei

DPT

Esraa Elkossei graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a doctorate in physical therapy. Her passion for treating and helping people fueled her journey into the physical therapy field. She has worked with a variety of patients and enjoys listening to their stories and helping them rebuild their physical and emotional strength. She would like to become certified in both wound care physical therapy and strength and conditioning. When she’s not working, Esraa likes to go out with friends and family for coffee, ramen, pizza, pasta, and more. She also enjoys working out as she gets inspired to improve her own strength and endurance from her patients.

She was partially inspired to pursue physical therapy by her father who is also a physical therapist working in home care. Her passion for learning anatomy and physiology also fueled her ambition to pursue her career. Whenever she has free time, Esraa makes it a priority to learn old and new techniques and information in physical therapy that allows her to strengthen her clinical skills.

Esraa is fluent in Arabic as she is an American Egyptian Muslim. Her religious and cultural background has allowed her to understand and connect with a variety of patients that she treats as a physical therapist. She makes it her priority to listen to her patients, empathize with their given situations, and provide them with as many tools for them to succeed and accomplish their goals.
