Daniel Bernath

Daniel graduated from the University of Georgia in 2010 with a BS Ed. in Health Promotion. He has always enjoyed playing sports, and recovering from his own sports-related injuries ultimately led to a career in the field. Daniel received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercer University in 2015, and went on to complete an Orthopedic Residency in 2018, further specializing in orthopedics. . 

Daniel is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association – Orthopedic Section. His clinical specialties include: manual therapy, dry needling, expert clinical reasoning, return to sport training, sports injury prevention, post-surgical rehabilitation, wound care, headache management, jaw pain, and balance training. His passion for helping people, creative problem-solving, and personal physical therapy experiences allow him to empathize with patients of all skill levels as he helps them achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing recreational softball, basketball, and soccer, and spending time with his wife and two children. He loves games of all types from tabletop to the field, and he is a fan of The Atlanta Hawks, The Atlanta United, and UGA’s football & basketball teams.
