Cowan Brown (CB to friends and family) graduated from North Central College in Naperville, IL with his Bachelor of Exercise Science degree and went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. To further his expertise in outpatient physical therapy he completed an orthopedic residency program through Evidence in Motion and became a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
Cowan has work experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, vestibular and concussion management, TMJ dysfunction, neurology, and work-related injuries. He continues to expand his education and has become a certified strength and condition specialist (CSCS). This skill set has allowed him a greater ability to work with the athletes and work conditioning patients, helping them regain full function and beyond. Cowan has recently adopted a new technique with patients; personalized blood flow restriction therapy. This therapy enhances his ability to provide specific exercise prescription to meet patient’s physical and functional strength or endurance goals and promote long term health and wellness. He is very passionate about using his expertise to provide the highest quality of care to every patient that he encounters to achieve optimal quality of life.
Cowan lives in Naperville, IL and enjoys spending time with his wife, son, daughter and the family dog, coaching and watching wrestling, and working out. He is looking forward to treating patients and building relationships within his community.
