Andrew Telschow
Andrew attended and graduated from Carthage College with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. After finishing his undergraduate degree, Andrew worked as a rehabilitation tech at the same Hales Corners location that he is now employed at. He then completed his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Andrew has clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, performance improvement, and acute care settings. Using prior clinical knowledge, he is able to utilize functional based practice to help improve a patient’s quality of movement. With a certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS), Andrew is better able to break down complex movement patterns. Additionally, certifications as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) allows him to incorporate performance enhancement treatment styles. Having played years of a variety of sports, he is able to connect with athletes at a personal level.
Andrew’s favorite aspect of therapy is getting to know the patient and connecting with them on a personal level. From there, he can work with the patient to put the patient at the center of their care. Andrew understands that for many patients, pain and movement dysfunction can be barriers to living their life to the fullest. He can then guide them through their therapy journey, and get them back doing the things they love most in life. By assessing movement from the most complex to the most basic, he is able to treat a wide variety of patients.
Andrew grew up in Sheboygan and loves all things outdoors- including hiking, fishing, and boating. In his free time, he enjoys staying active with recreational fitness, basketball, and golf.
