Running Analysis Services

Running injuries can include shin splints, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, stress fractures, knee pain, and hip or back discomfort. These injuries often result from muscle imbalances, poor running mechanics, or repetitive strain. Left untreated, even minor pain can affect form and lead to more serious issues down the road.

Our Comprehensive Treatment Approach

Physical therapy for running injuries focuses on strengthening the muscles surrounding the injured area, restoring mobility, and improving stability. Treatment may include manual therapy, stretching, range of motion exercises, and functional training with stability balls, resistance bands, and bodyweight exercises.

For video running analysis, you’ll be filmed while running on a treadmill. Our therapists then use specialized software to slow down your gait, review mechanics frame by frame, and compare faulty patterns to proper running form. Issues such as cadence, stride length, foot strike, hip drop, trunk rotation, and arm swing can all be evaluated. Based on these findings, we’ll provide corrective strategies and update your therapy plan to address any weaknesses or tight areas.
