Mary Clemons

Mary earned her doctorate degree (DPT) from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and has practiced in outpatient orthopedics since that time. She is also a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and earned that degree from University of Illinois in Champaign. She worked with numerous Division I sports programs during her time with U of I, as well as a local high school sports program.  

 

She treats orthopedic and neurological conditions with a special interest in the lower extremity and recovery following total joint replacements. She is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator and specializes in developing return to work programs for Firefighters and Police Officers.

 

Mary works with both the female and male Pelvic Health population to allow for recovery from surgery, incontinence and pelvic pain. She is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. She is also certified in dry needling; instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and blood flow restriction therapy and uses these when appropriate for patients. She focuses on her patient’s needs during their treatment and individualizes their plan of care based on their impairments and goals in order to produce the highest level of function in all of her patients.
