Kim Needham

Kim has been in the field of physical therapy for over 25 years. She first worked as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant for 8 years before receiving her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Purdue University in 1994. Kim went on to earn her master’s in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Florida in 1999. Kim has extensive experience in many different treatment settings, such as outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, acute inpatient and rehabilitation, and home health rehabilitation.  Her area of focus for the past 18 years has been outpatient physical therapy.   Practicing in a variety of settings, she has become skilled in many clinical areas, including:

 

  • Functional movement exercises
  • Graston/ ASTYM certified
  • Medical Cupping
  • Manual therapy techniques
  • Vestibular/ Concussion training
  • Functional Dry Needling certified

 

Kim is also equipped to treat an assortment of populations, including:

 

  • orthopedic strains/sprains
  • work-related conditions
  • overuse injuries
  • pain management
  • sport-specific injuries
  • post-operative conditions

 

When she is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, hiking, and traveling. She also enjoys reading, photography, and watching sporting events. Kim looks forward to serving her Avon community and the surrounding areas!
